Hungry in Amsterdam? The best spots for Snacks in Amsterdam

Exploring Amsterdam is heavy work - it is a city of cycling or walking, both definitely warrant snacking breaks. That’s why we have made a list of our favourite places for a quick bite to eat in Amsterdam.

Sweet Bob

These sweet balls are simply creamy and delicious! The Brigadero sweets are a delicacy from Brazil, each made by hand. They are described as a crossover between fudge and chocolate truffles and perfect for celebrations. This store is the first of its kind in the Netherlands.

All the flavours are amazing, along with the service. We tried 6 different flavours, our favourites being the crunchy dark, stroopwaffle, strawberry crunchy (Dutch girl (made for insta)), and oreo. Definitely a spot we recommend trying - they make a lovely gift too!

Manneken Pis Verse Vlaamse Friet

If you are in need of a quick pick-me-up snack while exploring Amsterdam, then fries are definitely your best option. Located between central station and Dam square, Mannekin Pis has been voted to have the best fries in the Netherlands!

P.s definitely better than any Maccies.

Polaberry

Founded in 2018, Polarberry is fast growing for a reason with stores now in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Shanghai and soon to be Mexico.

Known for their chocolate covered strawberries, they also make chocolate bars, cakes and flower bouquets. If you have a sweet tooth then Polaberry is highly recommended and you will be left craving for more.

The Poffertjes Office, Magna Plaza

If you are looking for shopping and food in the heart of Amsterdam, then this is the place to go. Magna plaza offers a range of shops in the former Amsterdam Main Post Office - the first of its kind to be opened in Amsterdam. You can get your hands on literally any cuisine in the food department, whilst open seating let’s you enjoy with spectacular views of the city.

Serving traditional Dutch mini pancakes, these Poffertjes come in a range of flavours and toppings - chocolate, cheese, truffle mayonnaise, I think anything goes! The Proffertjes Office stand also offers the classic Dutch stroopwaffle.

We went for red velvet, white choc, caramel cubes and butter 🧈 (don’t judge till you try it, after all it is the traditional way!). Find out more about the Magna Plaza in this blog of best food areas in Amsterdam!
